In a world where access to information about menstrual and reproductive health is still unequal, the Habibi Fertility emerges as a transformative project. More than just an educational platform, it is a movement that combats the lack of body literacy, breaks down taboos, and offers scientific knowledge in an inclusive and culturally sensitive way.
For this mission to reach everyone who needs it, digital accessibility is essential. An accessible website ensures that anyone—regardless of their abilities, background, or digital experience—can navigate the site, learn, and participate fully in the community. When it comes to health and human rights, excluding someone because of digital barriers perpetuates inequalities.
Accessibility as part of our mission
Habibi Fertility was created with those in mind who are often left out of conversations about menstrual health—people who grew up in environments where talking about menstruation, contraception, or sexuality was taboo, and who felt they lacked reliable information or representation in discussions about the body.
Here, inclusive communication starts with the content, but is reinforced by a digital design that adheres to web accessibility standards, featuring readable text, adequate contrast, keyboard navigation, alternative text, and a clear structure for screen readers.
A website designed with accessibility and user experience at its core isn’t just visually appealing—it’s a gateway to knowledge and empowerment. In the case of Habibi Fertility, it will also be a safe and interactive space where anyone can learn about fertility awareness methods, book appointments, access free resources, and feel represented in the imagery, language, and design.
In the digital world, every click is an opportunity to include or exclude. By creating online experiences that break down barriers, we’re not just doing web design—we’re practicing public health and ensuring that knowledge is truly accessible to everyone.
